We are looking for people living in the East Midlands

Have type 1 diabetes aged 18 years or above

Have type 2 diabetes aged between 18 and 40 years

Leicester has a world-wide reputation for diabetes research however two groups are under-represented and we wish to recruit volunteers.

The Leicester Diabetes Centre is a leading applied health research unit committed to improving the lives and care of people with diabetes and other long-term conditions. Based at the Leicester General Hospital, we are a collaboration between the University of Leicester and University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust. 

Whilst embodying what is most innovative in a partnership between the NHS and academia, we believe in keeping close to our local communities – valuing their input and their support for all that we do. This support has enabled us to impact on the care of people with diabetes not only in our own city, but also throughout the UK and overseas.
