Researchers from the Leicester Diabetes Centre and Loughborough University are set to take part in the Logistics UK National Conference series, presenting the innovative SHIFT (Structured Health Intervention For Transport) programme.

The session, titled “Shifting Gears to Improve Driver Health and Road Safety: The SHIFT Programme,” will explore why targeted health interventions for professional drivers are urgently needed. Attendees will learn how SHIFT – a health-focused CPC module tailored specifically for vocational drivers – is designed to improve driver wellbeing and promote safer roads.

The session will cover the evidence behind SHIFT, outline the programme’s key components, and conclude with an engaging, interactive segment to help drivers think differently about their health.

The Logistics UK conferences are taking place across ten UK locations between September and December, bringing together key industry figures, policymakers and researchers to address the most pressing challenges in transport and logistics.

Proud to be a Finalist!

We were thrilled to be named finalists for the SHIFT Programme at this year’s CILT Awards!

While we didn’t take home the win, it was a fantastic experience to be recognised alongside some of the most innovative and forward-thinking organisations in the industry.

Huge congratulations to all the winners and fellow finalists – it’s inspiring to see the work happening across the sector.
Being shortlisted has only fuelled our passion to keep pushing boundaries, driving change, and delivering impact. Onwards and upwards!
