Feedback:
“The experience helped me to think a bit more out of the box. Seeing how the dietitians run clinics and group sessions made me rethink how we do things in Singapore where we are overly concerned (at least for me) with ensuring that I collect and provide all the information to patients since they are paying to see us, rather than having a more MI approach. Everything must be done and documented in a certain way, clinics must look a certain way, handouts must be beautiful and given at every session. I also learned a lot more about managing type 1 diabetes – CGM/insulin pumps/MDT clinics etc.
“It had been a really enjoyable and fruitful time at LDC. We were provided with a lot of opportunities to learn, such as joining in with the Type 1 diabetes education day and rotating with the various clinics. Hannah and the rest of the EDEN and administrative team were also extremely helpful. Hannah really went the extra mile to help us sort out any issues with our schedules/roster and ensured that our whole placement at LDC went smoothly.”
